I worked alongside a team of 5, including myself, over the course of six weeks to create an app that solved a need for college students. After conducting research, public surveys, questionnaires, and deliberation, we decided to create Roo, an app aimed to simplify and enhance the roommate experience by providing an all-in-one app for roommates to facilitate communication, organize shared responsibilities and expenses, and promote accountability and transparency. We used Google Slides, Miro, and Figma to design Roo. We designed the logo, business model – including timeline, staff, budgeting, and more – the information architecture, wireframe sketches, and prototype pages that were then compiled into an interactive application.
